2 cups raw cane sugar
1 lb. raw or toasted sesame seeds (without the hull)
1/2 cup KELP FLAKES
Butter or oil an 8 inch square pan.
Heat raw cane sugar in medium saucepan over medium heat. Test the sugar by dropping a small amount into cold water. If it separates into threads which are hard but not brittle it's ready. Take off heat.
Stir in sesame seeds and kelp flakes. Immediately pour into buttered or oiled pan. Cool slightly. While still soft, cut into 2 x 1 inch strips. Wait until firm before removing from pan. Store in lidded container in fridge or in cool dry area.
